My Father
If you've seen me, you've seen the Father
- Jesus (John 12:45)
About The King . . .
My Father is the most awesome! Because I accepted Jesus Christ, His only son, as my Lord and Saviour - believing that Christ died for my sins and rose from the grave to defeat death and all the powers of Satan - God has made me a joint-heir with Jesus Christ. He never treats me as a stepchild. All the love, grace, mercy and power that belongs to Christ also belongs to me - through Him.
My Father is always there for me, 24/7, ready to listen, comfort, instruct and guide me. Whenever, I lose confidence in myself, my Father is there to remind me that with God all things are possible, if the Lord be on my side what have I to fear?, and nothing can separate me from His love.
It seems that many of my friends have a totally wrong picture of what my Father is like. They see Him as demanding, intolerant...some even refuse to accept His existence, because they fear He would cramp their style. It's been my joy to find that He gives me real STYLE, He only asks that I truly love Him, and He tolerates way more than I do.
My testimony is that even though I was a "good" person, He rescued me from eternal death - my certain fate without Him. He put just the right people in my life to lead me to Him, and encourage me to seek Him out and know Him personally. Way too many people "know" about God, but getting to know Him for myself - has changed me forever.
Just because I believe His Word, He has given me great gifts - Gifts so extravagant that no amount of money could purchase them.
He gives me peace and joy - and takes my desperation, stress, sadness and grief away.
He gives me unconditional love, mercy and grace - and takes my self-centredness, hurt feelings, and unforgiveness away.
He gives me power - and takes away fear, helplessness and apathy. He has great plans for me and a good future.
All of these are free gifts for me to use NOW.
He has also given me the promise of eternal life in His presence.
Since I experience His gifts and promises given to me right now in the present, I have faith that He is more than able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than I can think or imagine for my future.
